Our Story

The Music Room is born as a way to continue the dream of my grandmother, Abuela Chona. She founded I.A.C.E. ( Instituto Artistco Cultural Escala) from her home in Asunción, Paraguay. This is where I initially started learning piano at the age of 4. 

She had 8 kids, which she lovingly referred to as her musical masterpiece. Escala was more than just a music school at the time of inception, she also had instructors who would also teach sewing, culinary arts, and music.

Here at The Music Room, we're continuing the mission and dream that Abuela Chona started long before I was born. That's the same passion and family feeling we look to live up to. As Abuela Chona would say: "El que no vive servir no sirve vivir." so The Music Room also aspires to be a cultural center where we can serve our community through the gift of music and arts.
